Privacy Notice
On your device
The game keeps your progress, settings and sign-in session in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB. Nothing here is used for advertising. Clearing the site's data removes it.
Your online account
When the game connects, it creates a guest account so your scores can appear on leaderboards. Our backend runs on Supabase in the European Union (Ireland) and stores:
- an account id and the leaderboard name you choose;
- your email address, only if you add one to keep your progress;
- the scores you submit (score, stage reached, kills, run length, run seed, pace and week);
- a copy of your save file, only for email accounts;
- records of coin purchases and prizes (a transaction id and the coins granted).
Leaderboard names and scores are public. Everything else is visible only to you and to us.
Payments
Coin packs are sold through Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details; we receive a transaction id and the pack you bought.
Cookies and tracking
The game uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. The storage described above is needed for the game to work, so there is nothing to consent to. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies while it is open.
Your choices
- Play offline: the game works without an account.
- Change your leaderboard name or sign out in Settings, Account.
- Ask us to delete your account and scores: email theaece@theaecestudio.com from the address on the account, or include your leaderboard name.
